The CDIC offers a range of advice, grants and expertise to support Australian businesses develop their industrial capabilities and ability to work with the defence sector
The CDIC also works in partnership with the Australian Defence Export Office to assist defence businesses thinking about exporting, looking to expand their export markets or seeking access to global supply chains

Capability Improvement Grant
A grant of $4,000 to $240,000 to reimburse you for up to 80% of the cost of engaging a consultant or expert to implement recommended business capability improvements as part of an advisory or facilitation service. Read more …
Skilling Australia’s Defence Industry Grant
A grant between $5,000 and $500,000 for sme’s or defence industry associations to undertake various defence skills training activities. Read more …
Sovereign Industrial Capability Priority Grants
A grant of $70,000 to $1.4 million for up to 70% of the cost of a project that builds capabilities aligned with Defence’s Sovereign Industrial Capability Priorities. Read more …
Defence Global Competitiveness Grant
A grant of $24,000 to $240,000 for up to 80% of the cost of investing in projects that build export capability to build a stronger, more sustainable and globally competitive Australian defence industry. Read more …
Joint Strike Fighter Industry Support Program Sustainment Grants
Grants from $50,000 up to $250,000 for phase 1 and 2 for Australian companies provided an assignment by the United States Government for maintenance and repair activities for existing components used in the Joint Strike Fighter Program.
